Election: Bring it on

An election is coming. The government has indicated a possibility for the election to be held should half of the population is vaccinated. This could be as early as September 2021. Apart from the risk of cases increase again as what we had witnessed in the past Sabah state election it is still the right thing to do. 

However, there is a risk of hang parliament should the political parties unable to manage their differences wisely. It is best if we could have a two-party fight: PN vs PH. And we expect they should have presented a very compelling case in managing our economy in this new normal to the Malaysian voters. 

On the positive side, our democracy will become more matures and ready for the upcoming challenge. However, the cost that we must pay is rather expensive as we are occupied with politics while other countries busy advancing their economy in the new normal.

Clearly, we are missing something as other democratic states such as South Korea n Israel still advancing while experience political upheaval.
